After months of planning, building, and preparing here on the homestead, we are incredibly excited to share some wonderful news: the J & J Homestead Farmstand will officially open for the season on Saturday, March 21.

What started as a simple idea—creating a place where we could share the products of our homestead with our local community—has finally become a reality. If you’ve been following along with our journey, you know how much work has gone into preparing the farmstand. From preparing the parking area and setting up the building to organizing the shelves and installing lighting, every step has brought us closer to opening day.

Now, the moment we’ve been working toward is here.

What You’ll Find at the Farmstand

For our opening weekend, we’re keeping things simple and focusing on some of our favorite homestead staples. When the farmstand opens on March 21, you can expect to find:

• Fresh eggs from our backyard chickens
• Homemade baked goods prepared right here on the homestead
• Local honey from our own beehives

These are the foods that represent the heart of what we do—simple, wholesome, and produced with care.

As the growing season continues, we will gradually add even more offerings. In the coming months, the farmstand will begin carrying garden plants, fresh vegetables, herbs, and additional homestead products as they become available. Spring and summer are when the homestead truly comes alive, and we’re excited to share that abundance with you.

A Community Farmstand

One of our biggest goals with the J & J Homestead Farmstand is to create a small, welcoming place where people can stop by, pick up fresh food, and connect with local agriculture. Farmstands have long been a part of rural communities, and we’re proud to continue that tradition here in the Fredericksburg and Stafford area of Virginia.
